Job Description:

Omitron is seeking candidates for Flight Safety analysis operators and operations lead. The Flight Safety operators fill staff and crew positions that provide satellite threat analysis and warning reports for close approaches and potential collisions, electromagnetic and optical interference, warns satellite owners and participates in threat avoidance processes. Additionally, as part of a larger crew in an operations center, the analyst and operator will use their expertise and situational awareness to coordinate and integrate findings with other crew positions and functional areas to develop and deliver products enabling prioritization of courses of action. The operations lead manages and organizes the crew force. All positions require shift work. Lead will work predominantly on day staff.

Required Skills:

  • Must have excellent computer, technical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic often stressful crew environment, and be capable of applying innovative technical analysis to solve client problems
  • Must have the ability to prepare and present complex ideas in a clear and coherent form and present them to an audience
  • Shift work required

Required experience:

3 years in Space Operations or Support. Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving methodologies to complex, ambiguous problems.

Required Degree:

Bachelor's degree in a space-related engineering discipline, Physics, Computer Science. 5 years’ experience in space operations in lieu of degree.

Clearance and Other Requirements:

A Top Secret/SCI clearance required; current polygraph a plus.
