Job Title: Embedded Software Test Engineer – Flight Software

Job Description:

Omitron is seeking a mid to senior level candidate to fill a full-time position as an Embedded Software Test Engineer to participate in the testing of flight software for NASA’s Mars Sample Return Campaign, with the goal of collecting samples from the surface of Mars and returning them to earth for analysis.

Primary Duties:

  • Development of test plans according to NASA standards to prove that all system requirements are being met and are properly implemented.
  • Development of test procedures in accordance with test plans
  • Development of test tools or utilize commercial test tools to exercise embedded software.
  • Execution of software tests and the capturing of test results
  • Development of test reports and associated testing documentation

Requirements:

  • US citizenship required
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • 3+ years of software testing experience
  • Embedded applications experience a plus
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and work in a collaborative environment

Required Degree:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
