Job Description:

Omitron is seeking a Program Support person for the Flight Dynamics Support Services III (FDSS-III) contract at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Spaceflight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, Maryland. FDSS-III supports NASA’s Human Space Flight missions, including the International Space Station, SpaceX Dragon, and the Moon-to-Mars Program with Gateway, Artemis, the Human Landing System, and more!

We are looking for someone who will see something and tackle it without waiting for direction while maintaining open communications with the team. An eye for details and the ability to identify ways of doing things better / quicker / easier via process and tool improvements will allow you to own your domain.

Specific areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate periodic reports and presentations in support of the FDSS-III contract deliverables
  • Develop / maintain / publish specific mission and contract related schedules
  • Support development of levels of effort estimates utilizing established tools and track actual performance against those estimates
  • Coordination of mission-specific and contract meeting calendars
  • Coordinate the completion of document reviews across various groups and represent the contract at official NASA review boards
  • Coordinate training efforts across various teams on the FDSS-III contract
  • Develop metrics and perform analysis on contract performance and present at periodic meetings / reviews
  • Fill-in and act as a proxy in meetings if needed
  • Ability to learn and master in-house developed tools to complete tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines while being confident enough to push-back when needed

Education and Experience:

  • Candidate must have at least 3-5 years of experience in an office environment

Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Systems Engineering, or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook / Project)
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Project support experience including coordinating timelines, work assignments, meetings, and ensuring deliverables are completed on-time

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with NASA
  • Experience with contract-level metric and performance analyses
  • Experience using Python, or similar, developing and executing custom scripts
  • Experience with Atlassian Tools (Confluence / Jira)
  • Experience generating level of effort estimates


  • This position is located at the NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center located in Greenbelt Maryland. The position will initially require the majority of your week on-site, but opportunities to transition into a hybrid of on-site / remote after successful on-boarding and initial training is planned, with the ratio of on-site / remote determined by workload and deadlines.

Security Clearance and Other Requirements:

  • US citizenship required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Secret level
  • For compliance with new Executive Order 14042 regarding Government Contractors, you will be required to provide documentation of Full Coronavirus Vaccination Status to Omitron, and to the designated personnel of the subcontracting, contracting and/or federal officials.
